How to Use My Work to Manage Your Day
Understand what is assigned to you, prioritize upcoming and overdue work, complete checklists/forms, and record completion.
My Work answers one question: What do I need to do? It collects work assigned to you or your primary department and organizes it so you can clear today's obligations without hunting across lists.
What appears in My Work
- Overdue: past-due items that still need action
- Due today: items due on the current day
- Blocked: items waiting on other work
- No due date: assigned work without a due date
- Upcoming: work that is coming due
- Procedure reviews: assigned procedure reviews when procedures are available on your plan
- Completed today: what you finished today
- Backup responsibilities: awareness of areas where you are the backup, kept separate from assigned work
When there is nothing overdue and nothing due today, My Work can show that you are caught up for today. Metric chips help you jump to a section quickly.
Prioritize and act
- Start with Overdue, then Due today.
- Open an item for details: due date, priority, blocked state, and a path to the full work record.
- If work is blocked, resolve or advance the blocking item before expecting completion.
- Use Upcoming to plan the next few days once today is under control.
Complete checklists, forms, and work
- Open the full work details when a checklist or required form is attached.
- Finish every checklist step.
- If a required form is present, fill and submit it. When the form requires manager review, wait for approval before the work can complete.
- Choose Complete from My Work or from the work detail. If something is still incomplete or blocked, completion will not succeed until those requirements are met.
- Use Undo from the success toast if you completed something by mistake.
My Work is for execution. Needs Attention is for exceptions that need intervention. Use both, and keep backup responsibilities visible without mixing them into your assigned queue.
