How LOB Labs LLC collects, uses, and shares information in connection with DeptOps.

Last updated: September 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how LOB Labs LLC ("LOB Labs," "we," "us," or "our"), a Minnesota limited liability company with its principal place of business in Scott County, Minnesota, handles information when you visit DeptOps marketing pages, create an account, or use the DeptOps product. Privacy and legal requests: info@Lob-Labs.com. Product support: support@DeptOps.com.

1. Who this policy covers

  • Website visitors who browse public DeptOps pages such as home, pricing, insights, and how-to guides.
  • Account holders and invited users who sign in to a DeptOps organization workspace.
  • Administrators who manage billing, people, departments, and organization settings.

If your organization uses DeptOps, that organization typically decides what operational records to store (for example, people, responsibilities, and work). In that case, LOB Labs processes that workspace data to provide the service on the organization's behalf.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information. When you register or are invited, we collect information such as name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), organization name, and role within the organization. If you enable multi-factor authentication, we process the related authentication secrets and verification codes needed to secure sign-in.

Organization and operational content. Customers enter and manage content in DeptOps, including departments, people directories, responsibilities, work items, calendars, forms and submissions, favorites, search activity within the product, notifications, and similar operational records. This content may include personal information about employees, contractors, or other people your organization chooses to track.

Billing information. For paid plans, payment card details are collected and processed by our payment processor (currently Stripe). We receive billing-related metadata such as plan selection, subscription status, invoices, and limited payment method descriptors. We do not store full payment card numbers on DeptOps servers.

Technical and usage information. We automatically receive information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, browser type, device or client identifiers, timestamps, pages or API routes requested, and diagnostic or error logs.

Communications. If you email us (for example at info@Lob-Labs.com), we keep the contents of that correspondence and related contact details so we can respond.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and secure DeptOps accounts and organization workspaces.
  • Authenticate users, enforce roles and permissions, and support multi-factor authentication.
  • Process subscriptions, plan changes, invoices, and customer portal requests through our payment processor.
  • Send transactional messages related to the service, such as invites, security notices, and billing alerts.
  • Monitor reliability, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve product performance and usability.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate DeptOps:

  • Service providers that host infrastructure, send email, process payments, or help us operate the product, under contractual obligations to protect the data.
  • Organization administrators and other authorized users inside your workspace, according to the roles your organization assigns.
  • Professional advisors or authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of LOB Labs, our users, or others.
  • A successor entity if LOB Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to continued confidentiality protections.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

DeptOps uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies as described in our Cookies Policy. In short, we primarily use essential storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and support core product behavior. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies on DeptOps.

6. Data retention

We retain account, billing, and workspace information for as long as your organization uses DeptOps and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, dispute resolution, security, and legal compliance. Organization administrators may update or remove much of their Customer Content from within the product. Organization administrators may close the organization from Settings → Account after security verification, or by contacting info@Lob-Labs.com or support@DeptOps.com.

Data retention: When identifying information is anonymized through DeptOps, or when Lob Labs permanently deletes an organization at the customer's request, we remove identifying information or tenant data from the live DeptOps application systems according to our deletion procedures. Backups may retain earlier copies until those backups expire under our backup retention schedule.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, role-based access inside organizations, and optional multi-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

  • Access and update profile details available in your account or through an organization administrator.
  • Request correction or deletion of personal information we control, subject to legal and operational limits.
  • Ask us for a copy of personal information you provided, where applicable law grants that right.
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing emails if we send them. Transactional and security messages may still be required for the service.

If your personal information was submitted by an organization that uses DeptOps, please contact that organization first. We may need to coordinate with the organization administrator before fulfilling certain requests.

9. International processing

DeptOps may be hosted and supported using infrastructure located in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. If you access the service from another country, you understand that information may be processed in a country with different data protection rules than your own.

10. Children

DeptOps is built for workplace and organizational use. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact info@Lob-Labs.com so we can take appropriate action.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of DeptOps after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
