How to Customize Your DeptOps Home Dashboard
Choose which operational widgets appear, reorder them, select 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, or full widths, and create a dashboard focused on what matters to your role.
Home is your operational snapshot. On Team plans and above with dashboard customization, you can choose which widgets appear, reorder them, and set widths so the first screen matches your role.
Widgets you may see
- Needs Attention: preview of exceptions that need intervention
- My Work: count of open items assigned to you
- Backup: count of backup responsibilities you hold
- Responsibility health: responsibilities that need attention (managers)
- Department work: overdue work in your departments (managers)
- Organization exceptions: organization-level exception rollups (admins, when enabled)
- Favorites: pinned work, responsibilities, and forms
Available widgets depend on your role and plan. Defaults differ for users, managers, and admins. Unauthorized widgets are removed automatically.
Show, hide, and reorder
- On Home, choose Customize.
- Show or hide widgets so only useful surfaces remain.
- Use the up and down controls to reorder the layout.
- Choose Reset to Default if you want the role-based starting layout back.
- Choose Done when the set and order look right.
Set widget widths
Width is controlled on each widget, not inside the Customize drawer. Use the width control on a widget to choose 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, or Full. Wider widgets suit lists such as Needs Attention or Favorites. Narrower tiles suit single metrics such as My Work or Backup.
Focus the dashboard on your role
- Individual contributors: keep My Work and Needs Attention prominent; keep Backup visible if you cover important areas.
- Managers: prioritize Needs Attention, Responsibility health, and Department work.
- Admins: add Organization exceptions when you need a cross-department view.
- Everyone: pin Favorites for the responsibilities, work, and forms you open daily.
A useful Home page answers what needs attention and what you own, in a few seconds. Remove widgets that do not change how you act.
